Most of the hermits are well-born, seldom are from an impoverished background. They are exploring metaphysics in the mountains and forest far away from the power bloc after experiencing too many things changing.

The hermits are in different characters, but have two things in common. First, they have some spouses, children, tenants and houses, field in private ownership. Second, they live in valley or by reed marshes with very few people and great air quality, proficient in agricultural production knowledge, can produce necessity for surviving.

They go farming with their tenants at 9:30 am, mainly pulling weeds next to the maize seedlings. Back in one hour for reading in the study or for watching sky on the deck chair in the terrace. The lunch takes about 40 mins with drinking brewed wine. The dinner is big, with four dishes of meat and vegetables and one pot of chicken soup, also some liquor and beer in different brands.

Sometime they are in a daze while watching the hazy light far from the tenants' houses.

At the end of a month, they drive cars which looked broken to the town for shopping daily sundries and liquor.
