A War about Chinese Words by Sun Xun is a black and white movie animation where Chinese characters morph and come alive as soldiers, animals and tanks. The characters enter into warfare and battle. Sun Xun was born in 1980 and graduated from China Academy of Fine Arts. He creates animations that combine hand-drawn renderings and traditional materials with new media. His subjects range from elements found in world history and politics, to natural organisms. He then films the drawings, sequentially one at a time, to create a sense of movement and suggest the passing of time, the machinations of history, and the beauty inherent in simple forms.

In the 1980s, Yu Youhan began his exploration in Chinese Abstract Painting. Circle Series started from 1985 once brought a big impulsion to the creative art group. And the “new abstract” works showing this time was created during 2007 and 2008. They morally inherited the works twenty years ago. Yu Youhan added his own life, observation of the society and philosophy theories of macrocosm into his paintings through the way of dash line creation.

Three Days Ago and The Floor by Song Tao recorded every piece in his life which is also the creative concept that he has always insist. The large amount of black and white pictures from his life in this two works may happen in anywhere, any time. Song Tao recorded his memory towards the city by his point of view. He did not want to expand any great truth. He only wants to record the images existing in our city life and make a daily memorization.
