Peng Feng Nomineed Curator of Chinese Pavilion for the 54th Venice Biennale

China will again definitely take part in it. As it is reported recently that this year the curator of Chinese Pavilion is Peng Feng, who now serves as vice dean in the department of aesthetics and eductional research center of Peking University.

The 54th International Art Exhibition, directed by Bice Curiger, will run 4 June through 27 November in the Giardini and Arsenale venues, Venice. The title chosen by Curiger for the exhibition is Illuminaions. China will definitaly again take part in it. As it is reported recently that this year the curator of Chinese Pavilion is Peng Feng, who now serves as vice dean in the department of aesthetics and eductional research center of Peking University. He has confirmed this decision, but he refuses to conveal his curatorial plans.

As we all know, Venice Biennale established in 1895, is one of the most famous biennale in the world. And it is also somehow called the Olympic of the art world for its more than 100-year history.

From Biennale's home web page, the President of La Biennale di Venezia, Paolo Baratta, accompanied by the Director of the 54th International Art Exhibition, Bice Curiger, met on October 20th, 2010 the representatives of the participating countries, which for the very first time will include Govern d' Andorra, Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Bahrain, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Republic of Rwanda, as well as Congo and India, which last participated respectively in 1968 and 1980.
